CHRISTOPHER E. LEVASSEUR received his Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1980 and his Juris Doctor cum laude Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University School of Law) in 1983. While in law school, Mr. LeVasseur was a member of the Detroit College of Law Review, and his article, City of Long Beach v. Bozek; Grant of Absolute Privilege to Petition Government for Redress of Grievances, 1983 Det. C.L. Rev. 217, was published. After graduating from law school, Mr. LeVasseur spent several years as clerk to the Honorable John H. Gillis of the Michigan Court of Appeals, where he assisted in drafting many of the Court's published opinions. Following his time with the Court of Appeals, Mr. LeVasseur joined Detroit's largest law firm, Dykema Gossett, PLLC, where he practiced with the Labor and Employment Section. In 1988, Mr. LeVasseur joined the litigation section of Stark Reagan. Mr. LeVasseur practices in the area of commercial litigation, with a focus on labor and employment law. Mr. LeVasseur is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He is admitted to practice in all Michigan State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeal. |
