PATRICK C. HALL received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1975 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1978. Mr. Hall's practice focuses on business litigation, including representation of real estate developers, manufacturing companies, construction companies, employers in labor and employment law disputes, temporary employment and employee leasing companies, and companies in the food and hospitality industry. He has represented clients in numerous arbitration proceedings and lawsuits in Michigan and other states, as well as appeals in state and federal courts. He also handles licensing matters before state administrative agencies. Mr. Hall successfully appealed a multiple unfair labor practice finding by the NLRB against an employer stemming from its discharge of union members for strike misconduct, and refusal to reinstate them or bargain with union. (E.W. Grobbel Sons, Inc. v. NLRB, 176 F. 3d 875 (6th Cir. 1999). Upon reversal, Mr. Hall's client received an award of attorneys' fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act. Mr. Hall also successfully defended a manufacturer against a claim brought by an account representative for post-termination commissions, and recovered $350,000 through a counterclaim for return of severance pay. Mr. Hall belongs to the Oakland County, Michigan and American Bar Associations. He is licensed in the Michigan state courts and the United States Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is also a Member of the City of Troy, Michigan Liquor License Advisory Committee. |
